Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are eco-friendly foam blocks made of recycled materials that are used to build houses and commercial buildings of all sizes. ICFs are used to build structural forms that are filled with concrete to create solid walls of 4 to 12 inches in thickness (larger custom-made forms also available), resulting in solid dual-insulated structures that are built to outlast those made of traditional materials. The costs of building with ICFs remain the same as that of building with traditional cinder blocks; however, the process is much faster. While this method of construction has been around since 1966, it’s become much more popular over recent decades due to its many advantages, as well as regional climatic changes that call for more secure structures. Nudura has established themselves as an industry leader in ICF manufacturing.
Benefits of building with Nudura ICFs:
Lower Energy Bills
Nudura ICF homes slash heating and cooling expenses by up to 60%* thanks to continuous insulation that cuts thermal bridging and energy use.
Lasting Durability
Structures built with ICFs are stronger and more durable than those built with traditional materials like wood or steel. Nudura ICF walls provide up to 4-hour fire protection, resist water and moisture, resist winds up to 250 mph, and are extremely resistant against high impact. In fact, the US military now mandates that ICFs be used in the construction of military buildings and housing, to protect occupants from the threat of bullets and bombs.
Comfort & Health
Homes and buildings built with Nudura ICFs offer better air quality, reduce mold risk and provide soundproofing that dampens outside noise.
